Base Location
Calasanctius College & Galway Bay Sailing Club
We are very grateful for the Principal and staff in Calasanctius College, Oranmore for the use of their facilities before and after many of our searches
We would also like to thank Galway Bay Sailing Club in Renville for their support as a search base.
Pastoral
Care
A very important aspect of the unit is support for the grieving families desperately looking for the return of their loved one and to bring some closure
Great care and attention and consideration is put into this support in their time of need.
Catering
Prior to each search the Catering team provide light warm refreshments and snacks in the base location.
On Completion of the search the teams return to the base where there is a warm welcome during the debrief. Delicious Soups, hot beverages and lots of sandwichs and rolls are served enabling people to recharge their batteries.
The Catering crew provide great support after a sometimes cold and wet search so we are very grateful to the team volunteering in this area.
